Brad and Sean's Visit

Brad and Sean visited us all the way from Michigan, and they brought the hot weather from Michigan. I think the we reached 113 a few days while they were here. We didn't let the heat bother us though, we had a great time getting chauffeured by Brad (passed his drivers training test), turning some woodworking projects, swimming, mountain biking (Sean almost made it the whole way), rock climbing (Debbie and I think Brad is half monkey) and just visiting as a family.

It was a great time and Mia bond with her cousins Brad and Sean, and Mia officially designated them as "her boys". When she woke up, she would say, "where are the boys". Even a week later, she keeps asking for the boys.

It was fun to have them visit and we were sad to see them leave. Here are a few pictures from the fun week.

Michigan Trip - Holland / Lake Michigan

I am a bit tardy on getting this pictures posted. Debbie, Mia and I went to Michigan for a week where we rented a house in Holland and had a awesome time with our family and friends. Lots of time in the water, riding bikes, playing with cousins and visiting with friends. It was a great week.

Here's some of the highlights of the trip.

It's been a while...

It's a been a while since I updated our blog and after spending a week in Big Sur, California--I am inspired to do so today.

Over the past month, we've had lots of visitors. From a week with Vic and Rosie, new sitters that have started to cover while Jamie is in rehearsals for the High school Musical (check it out at http://www.broadwaypalmwest.com/), and a week with Grandma Leah while Debbie and I went on our 15-year anniversary trip.

Debbie and I returned yesterday from the five days at a resort in Big Sur called Ventana Inn & Spa. I wont bore you with the play-by-play or pictures...but will say it was a very relaxing trip (working out, hikes, morning yoga, eating, napping and a few spa treatments). Well worth looking at the resort if your in the Big Sur area. Also, here's a few pictures of Mia the day before leaving on our trip (our little movie star).

Cooling off in the sink

Mia and Debbie were having fun sitting the sink and learning to drink from the faucet. Daddy didn't even have to teach her the easiest way to get a drink.

Daddy and Mia ride in coach

Debbie (Mommy) went on a business trip and flew on the corporate jet. Daddy and Mia had the opportunity to see the jet land and Mommy get off it with a few others from work. The pilot even let us go on the plane and check it out - pretty amazing. Mia liked all the green, blue and red buttons in the pilot's chair. We made she she didn't push any though.

Mia also liked the suckers that were in the hangar and enjoyed one on the way home.

Grandma's Visit

Grandma came out from Michigan to see the three of us and spend some quality time with Mia. It was a short trip, however we covered a lot of ground including a visit to the train park (thanks Jamie for the great find), shopping for shoes (Leah and Mia's favorite thing to do), playing with bubbles in the back yard, swimming lessons, dinner with Susan and Bill (it's always great to see them), and we even went swimming (Debbie and Leah included). Daddy warmed up the pool to a brisk 90 F so that Debbie and Leah would join Mia and him.

Here are some pictures from the exciting weekend!
