A beautiful day at the park!

Mia loves to feed the ducks at the park. Both Jamie and Debbie seem to always forget to bring the duck food when they go alone with Mia (I don't think they like it when the 60-70 ducks surround them completely when we feed the ducks). Well, I guess this will have to be a special thing that Dad and Mia do together.

This park is called Fountain Hills Park. There's a very large fountain that shoots up in the air ever hour for 15 minutes. It's worth a visit when you come out to AZ.

Together enjoying some backyard activities

Here's Mia enjoying Daddy practicing with his new 3lb fly rod. I am not sure if she's enjoying watching Daddy get into position or if she's laughing at when Daddy hits his head or the tree with his line. They both are funny to watch for Mia.

Realizing the traditions of Christmas

Mia and Daddy put together a gingerbread house that Nana and Welo gave Mia during the last visit. The house has been on the table for a few weeks now, and Mia hasn't paid much attention to it until the past week. Jamie said Mia wanted to look at the house and Debbie noticed that she is starting to move the chair around so she can climb it to get to the gingerbread house.

Here's Mia caught in action and then sharing a piece with Daddy and Mommy.

Christmas in AZ

Mia was busy helping us work through the boxes of Christmas ornaments. She loved laughing and playing with the sting of lights in the green grass while Daddy got frustrated with some of the lights that didn't work.

And yes, our Christmas tree is outside. I would not recommend this option for those of you in Michigan.

Thanksgiving Crowd - Vredenburg Farm

Over the Thanksgiving week, Mia, Deb and I took a trip
back to Lowell, Michigan to see friends and family.

We spent most of the week at our centennial family farm near Bear Lake
, MI. The weather was perfect for a trip north - cold and snowy. We had the entire Vredenburg and extended families staying with us (crowded house). During Thanksgiving dinner we had 38 people sitting down for dinner.

Thank you Leah (Mom) for pulling off another wonderful trip to the Michigan, the Vredenburg Farm and awesome Thanksgiving dinner - Matt officially gained four pounds on my trip to Michigan.

Mia's Marching Band

This is just some footage of the fun we were having enjoying the new instruments that Lisa gave Mia for her birthday. Matt was in marching band and he elected to stay out of the cameras eyes. GO Mia and Debbie!
